The DOD FX96 Echo FX Analog Delay is an analog delay pedal that offers tape delay simulation. It features the MN3005 4096-stage BBD chip driven by a MN3101 clock generator/driver CMOS chip, as well as an NE570N (rev. A) or SA571N (rev. B) compander, and three surface-mounted 4560 op-amps. The pedal includes controls for Dry/Tape blend, Echo delay time (up to 800ms), Slap repeats, and Tape Quality for adjusting the tonal quality of the tape emulation. The delay time is 300-400ms, and it can produce warm analog tape delay sounds. The pedal was discontinued after undergoing a cosmetic change, internal restructurings, and a new Chinese production location.
