Hyper Luminal

The Hyper Luminal Compressor by Darkglass Electronics features a hybrid design, combining an analog VCA controlled by a digital side-chain. This unique approach captures the characteristics of legendary compressors while maintaining an all-analog signal path. The pedal offers a range of controls, including Blend for mixing clean and affected signals, Time for setting time constants, Output for overall volume, Compression for adjusting the amount of compression, and Ratio for controlling the compression ratio.

The Hyper Luminal has touch sensors for adjusting the compression ratio and offers three different modes: BUS, FET, and SYM, each modeled after renowned compressors. It also includes the Darkglass Suite, allowing users to customize time and attack settings, side-chain parallel high pass filter, release and attack settings, and enable or disable the "guitar" mode via a desktop application.

Technical specifications include an input impedance of 1MΩ, output impedance of 1kΩ, and a current consumption of 250mA. The pedal operates at 9V DC (Center Negative) and has dimensions of 75 mm width, 111 mm length, and 43 mm height, weighing 250 g (0.55 lb).
