The Spectre by Chase Bliss Audio is an analog through-zero flanger pedal that offers a range of features and technical specifications:
- Through-zero flanging effect achieved by using two delay lines, allowing
the pedal to cross over the elusive "zero point"
- All-analog signal path that can create subtle and wacky flange tones, as
well as chorus and vibrato tones
- Every knob and switch is connected to a digital brain while keeping the
guitar signal 100% analog
- Control of the effect is digital, enabling unprecedented effects and
features not previously available in analog stompboxes
- Features six knobs to control Mix, Zero (manual flange), Regen, Rate,
Width, and Shift
- ModuShape engine provides control over the shape of modulation with depth,
sway, and wave shape toggles
- Tap tempo switch for setting tempo and recalling presets
- Expression pedal (EXP/CV) and MIDI connectivity for expanded control
options
- True bypass via a relay, ensuring quiet operation
- Power consumption of approximately 50mA, operating with a standard 2.1mm 9V
DC center negative adapter
- Input impedance of 1M and output impedance of less than 1k
The pedal also includes various dip switches for controlling parameters via ramping or expression pedal/CV, direct control of waveform with EXP/CV, and setting EXP/CV range. Additionally, the Spectre pedal offers an array of features and controls for fine-tuning the flanging effect to suit the user's preferences.
