Epoch Pre

The Epoch Pre by Catalinbread is a preamp/buffer pedal designed to replicate the exact preamp circuit from the original EP-3. It features a switchable internal Hi-Z buffer and can provide up to 20 dB of boost. The pedal accepts a standard 9V pedal power supply but internally converts it to 22V. It has two outputs to drive different pedal chains or two amps. The design of the Epoch Pre is intended to enhance sonic capabilities and provide a wide range of frequencies without squishing them like a compressor. The pedal operates on standard 9-volt pedal power supply, internally converted to shunt-regulated 22 volts, similar to an EP-3. It is all-discrete and through-hole. The dimensions of the pedal are 1.93" in height, 2.36" in width, and 4.33" in depth, with a weight of 0.40 lbs.
