The BOSS TB-2W Tone Bender is an authentic sonic recreation of the iconic Tone Bender MK II fuzz pedal from the 1960s. It features select germanium transistors that have been carefully tested for superior performance. The pedal includes a three-way voltage selector for shaping the overall tone and response, as well as selectable true bypass or buffered bypass operation. The TB-2W also boasts a refined circuit design for ultra-consistent performance from pedal to pedal.
The pedal is a limited production run, with approximately 3000 units available due to component availability. It is designed with chicken-head knobs, hammertone finish, and typeface reminiscent of the original Tone Bender MK II. Additionally, the TB-2W offers adjustable voltage settings, allowing users to replicate the shifts in gain, response, and sound character of the original pedal. It also features two output modes, Thru mode for true bypass operation and Buffer mode for optimized signal for downstream connections.
The TB-2W Tone Bender is a collaboration between BOSS and Sola Sound, aiming to capture the soul of the Tone Bender and deliver an authentic vintage fuzz experience with modern innovations.
