The Range by Ananashead Effects is a handmade germanium and silicon booster with tone control, based on the 1966 Dallas Range Master treble booster circuit. It is known for sculpting the tones of many UK guitarists in the 60s and 70s, including Iommi, Bolan, Clapton, Gallagher, May, and early works of Judas Priest. The pedal boosts the signal, emphasizing medium/high frequencies, adding a raw sound with a softness similar to leaving the wah in a fixed position. The Range control expands the spectrum of frequencies to find the desired tone that suits your equipment.
Additional features include shielded inputs/outputs to avoid RF interferences, reliable and robust footswitch, potentiometers with dust shield, enclosed jacks, metal film resistors and caps for lower floor noise, filtered and wrong polarity protected 9V DC input, and popless True Bypass switching. The current draw is 3mA, and it can be daisy-chained with other pedals.
The pedal is priced at €110.00 and is available for purchase on the Ananashead Effects website.
