Shapeshifter

The Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter is a stereo tremolo pedal designed to provide classic textures while also offering the capability to produce extreme effects such as helicopter chops. The pedal features a pure analog signal path with digital tremolo timing, providing a wideband frequency response with -3dB at 3Hz and 165 kHz. The input impedance is 1 megohm, and the output impedance is 1.2K ohm, with a maximum gain of 2.5dB and a maximum output before saturation of 2.8V RMS. The signal-to-noise ratio is 95dB, and the total harmonic distortion (THD) is 0.09% at 1 kHz, 1VRMS.

Control functionality includes depth, shape (duty cycle), wave (continuously adjustable from sine to triangle to square waves), and rate (continuously adjustable from one to 20 beats per second). The tremolo rate controls consist of a speed knob, tap tempo button, and rate multiplier control. The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or a 9V-regulated DC adapter, with a current consumption of 7mA during operation and 3mA in bypass mode.

The dimensions of the Shape Shifter pedal are 5-1/2" W x 2-1/5" H x 5-1/5" D, and it weighs 2 lbs. The chassis material is 16 gauge steel, and it features true hard-wire bypass.
