The Red Panda Context 2 is an algorithmic reverb pedal inspired by 1980's rack-mount digital reverbs. It features a high-performance processor with 32/64-bit floating-point processing at 48 kHz, combining classic reverb algorithm design with modern digital signal processing techniques. The pedal measures 3.05" x 4.75" x 2.5" and requires a 9V DC center negative power supply with a current draw of 250 mA.
New features in Version 2 include a more powerful processor allowing for simultaneous operation of two reverb engines, a spring reverb algorithm with tremolo, reverse reverb algorithm, granular reverb algorithm, delay plus reverb in all modes, and more. The pedal also offers adjustable modulation, low and high frequency damping, dynamic reverb for ducking or expansion, tap tempo with independent note divisions, presets, and a web-based editor.
The pedal's inputs and outputs support multiple configurations, and it offers various bypass modes including analog buffered bypass and analog + FX level. The Context 2 also supports reverb trails, reverb hold, and drone mode. The HI and LO controls adjust the high- and low-frequency response of the reverb, and the pedal features a tremolo effect in spring mode.
The pedal's reverb algorithms include ROOM, HALL, CATHEDRAL, GATED, REVERSE, PLATE, SPRING, and GRAIN. Each algorithm features separate high and low frequency damping controls, pre-delay, modulation, dynamics (duck/expand), and infinite hold. The pedal also includes delay available in all modes, with separate stereo delay lines for each reverb engine.
The Red Panda Context 2 is designed and assembled in the USA and requires a 9V 250 mA center negative power supply (not included). It also features stereo input/output, TRS and USB MIDI, and a fully assignable expression pedal.
