The Maxon AD-9 Pro Analog Delay pedal is designed to deliver 450 milliseconds of fat, warm analog delay tone. It features 4 custom-made Maxon MC4107D Bucket Brigade IC's, providing a transparent analog delay sound. The pedal also includes a switchable multi-head tape echo simulator function, offering various delay effects such as "Ping Pong" repeats and ambient effects.
The AD-9 Pro utilizes a string of low gain, low voltage op amps to boost the signal and shape the sound without adding distortion. The signal then passes to a precision low voltage, low noise Compander IC designed to boost the signal while reducing noise. The delay circuit includes 4 Maxon MC4107D BBD delay IC’s controlled by two clock driver IC’s, running at a low clock rate to achieve maximum delay time and deliver a warm delay sound.
The pedal features Mechanical True Bypass switching on both wet and dry outputs via a Fujisoku 4PDT switch, ensuring pure, unaltered tone when bypassed. It operates at an input impedance of 500K Ohms, output impedance of 10K Ohms, and offers a delay time of 20 mSec to 450 mSec. The AD-9 Pro is powered by a 9V battery or Maxon AC adaptor, with power consumption ranging from 38mA to 39mA.
With its true bypass, crystal clear delay, adjustable repeats, zero clock noise, and stereo outputs, the Maxon AD-9 Pro Analog Delay pedal is suitable for a wide range of musical applications, from studio recording to live performances.
