Description

The Lovepedal COT 50, also known as the "Church of Tone 50," is a highly sought-after overdrive pedal designed to capture the response of a late '60s plexi loaded with 6550 power tubes. The pedal features a single bias knob that acts as an overdrive control, allowing for a range of tones from a touch of grit to a high-gain roar when maxed out. It is a low-draw circuit that benefits from battery sag, with carbon batteries recommended for optimal performance.

The COT 50 is designed for transparent gain control that responds to picking dynamics and guitar volume adjustments. It adds coloration to the signal, reminiscent of the tones heard on a 50-watt Marshall or a lively Vox shimmer, depending on the guitar's volume setting. The pedal is built with a solid and encased circuit, bias knob, and LED for structural stability and anti-piracy protection.

The unit does not include additional controls besides the bias knob and true- bypass stomp switch. It does not feature a 9V-battery socket and is designed to be powered by carbon batteries for the best performance. The COT 50 is highly regarded for its craftsmanship and tone quality, making it a valuable tool for professional musicians and collectors.
