The J. Rockett IQ Compressor is an EQ/Compressor with a pre-compression EQ. It features a 6-band graphic equalizer that allows users to choose which frequencies to compress harder based on their respective gain settings. Each frequency slider provides 18dB of gain or cut.
The compressor includes a volume control for adjusting the output level and a mix control for blending the compressed and dry signal. Additionally, it offers mild compression to simulate tube sag when hitting the front end of an OD with the IQ, allowing for a range from subtle compression to full-on country crush.
One of the key benefits of the built-in EQ is its ability to "un-color" the sound, providing transparent frequencies without affecting the top end.
