Description

The Ascend by Heavy Electronics is a boost pedal designed to provide a pristine clean boost to a signal or to drive a tube amplifier into rich, saturated overdrive. It is suitable for both guitar and bass applications. The pedal features a bypassable tone control, allowing users to choose whether to tweak and filter the boost or use it at its fullest in tone-bypass mode. The volume control offers intense headroom and push, while the tone control shapes the overall sound. The pedal is equipped with true bypass switching, a single point mounted PCB, flying leads to pots and jacks, Neutrik 1/4 inch signal jacks, and a powder-coated durable finish. It also incorporates a J-FET buffer circuit on the input signal to ensure better impedance reaction and long cable performance.

The technical specifications of the Ascend are as follows:
- Power Supply: 9 Volt DC 200 mA Center – 2.1mm
- Power Consumption: 5.40 mA
- I/O Impedance: Input = 330K, Output = 5.8K
- Dimensions: 4.37″ x 2.37″ x 1.07″ (11.1 x 6.02 x 2.72 cm)

The pedal is hand-made in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and comes with a lifetime warranty, barring abuse. It is built with high-quality components, including a "Metal-Can" amplifying transistor, metal-film resistors, and low-tolerance film capacitors. The pedal is designed to be transparent, clear, and powerful, with the ability to push tube amplifiers into overdrive and feed reverb tanks with a strong and concise low end.

The Ascend pedal is known for its smooth, responsive controls, solid construction, and a focus on maintaining the user's core tone. It is highly regarded for its transparency and clarity, making it suitable for musicians seeking a boost pedal that enhances their tone without compromising its integrity.
