BC108 Fuzz

The Hartman BC108 Silicon Fuzz is a faithful recreation of the early Silicon transistor Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face circuit, featuring genuine BC108 NPN Silicon transistors. The pedal is housed in a rugged metallic silver powder- coated aluminum enclosure and includes modern amenities such as true-bypass, on/off LED, and a 9VDC-in jack.

The tonal variation among BC108s of similar gain is relatively mild compared to their Germanium predecessors, with leakage an order of magnitude smaller. The pedal exhibits workable cleanup, dynamic voicing, and smooth decay. An external bias control is standard on all units, allowing for ultra-smooth or crisper fuzz, and even the trademark crackle, spit, and grind of "starved" Silicon.
