Mutant Fuzz

The Mutant Fuzz by Fredric Effects is a version of the Os Mutantes (Regulus VIII) fuzz, which is similar in topology to a silicon Fuzz Face but with a more gritty and trebly character. The pedal is essentially a straight clone with added power and RF interference filtering to prevent radio interference. The level of gain is fixed, but the guitar volume pot can be used to clean up the sound. The pedal features a rotary control for tone, replacing the tone switch of the original, providing more versatility. The internal bias control has been moved to the outside of the pedal, with a widened bias range, allowing for gated fuzz sounds to smooth sustain. The enclosure is professionally screen printed with unique artwork. The Mutant Fuzz is a boutique effect made in England and operates on a 9VDC power supply with true bypass. The pedal is housed in a standard-sized enclosure and is designed for mono input and output.
