The Shallow Water by Fairfield Circuitry is a K-Field Modulator that generates a non-cyclical vibrato/chorus/flanger-type effect by randomly modulating a short time delay to create unexpected shifts in pitch. The pedal is designed to favor old tape flavors and is based on the mathematical concept of Simulation mathematics, specifically the undefined, two-dimensional, non- linear field where past and future forces interact at irregular intervals. The pedal features Rate, LPG, Damp, Mix, Depth, and Volume control knobs, and is designed to be input sensitive, with the volume, type of signal, playing, and dynamics affecting its reaction. The pedal has 1/4” mono input/output jacks, a 2.1mm DC connector, and comes in a 4.7” x 3.8” enclosure. It is manufactured in Hull, Québec. The price of the Shallow Water is $389 CAD.
