The Next Step Talking Pedal by Electro-Harmonix is a vocal formant wah with fuzz, featuring a smooth rocking chassis that is super rugged and delivers lightning-fast control. It is designed with bypass switching that is completely silent and is free of moving parts that typically wear out and require replacement. The pedal passes the guitar signal through two bandpass filters, giving the tone a male vocal quality and creating a selection of vowel-like sounds. Additionally, it includes a specially designed fixed fuzz circuit that can be blended in with a scroll wheel located on the side of the pedal, enhancing the definition of the effect and adding growl and grind. The pedal offers instantaneous switching from bypass to effect and comes with a battery included, with a 9-volt power supply being optional.
