Description

The Spires by EarthQuaker Devices is a fuzz doubler pedal that combines the Rosac Nu-Fuzz and the discontinued Dream Crusher germanium fuzz pedal in one enclosure. The Green channel features a cranked fuzz inspired by the Rosac Electronic Nu-Fuzz, while the Red channel is a silicon version of the Dream Crusher. The controls include Tone and Green for the Green channel, and Fuzz and Red for the Red channel. The pedal is true bypass and uses electronic relay-based switching. It can be powered by a 9v battery or a standard 9-volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. The dimensions are 4.65 x 3.65 x 2.25 inches (118 x 93 x 57 mm) with knobs, and the current draw is 44 mA. The input impedance for the Red channel is 100 kΩ, and for the Green channel, it is 200 kΩ. The output impedance for both channels is less than 10 kΩ.
