The Splash MkIV by Crazy Tube Circuits is a reverb pedal that offers various algorithms for creating ambient tones. It features all the algorithms from the previous Mk3 version, along with the plate and shimmer algorithm from Sidekick, and three additional reverb algorithms, including two modulated and one flanged freeze reverb algorithm. The pedal provides the flexibility to control decay and excite controls on all algorithms via an external expression pedal and/or the on-board footswitch. The dry signal is 100% analog, and the mixing and filtering of the wet signal also occur in the analog domain. The pedal also offers selectable true bypass or buffer bypass with trails for units with serial number #200 or higher.
The specific algorithms included in the Splash MkIV are as follows:
1. Algorithm I: The "exciter" - from a touch of ambience to a spacious pad
effect
2. Algorithm II: Moderate-sized reverb - from a spring-style reverb up to
room and hall
3. Algorithm III: Large reverb - from hall to ambience
4. Algorithm IV: Plate style reverb
5. Algorithm V: Shimmer - high-pitched harmonics ambience
6. Algorithm VI: Modulated I - faster spinning with extra-long decay
7. Algorithm VII: Modulated II - fuller sounding, long to infinite decay
8. Algorithm VIII: Flanged freeze reverb, with short to infinite decay
The pedal also allows for the control of decay and excite controls on all algorithms via an external expression pedal and/or the on-board footswitch, providing the ultimate ambient tones.
